Navarro: 'I've Seen the Deep State; I've Looked It in the Eye' Empty Navarro: 'I've Seen the Deep State; I've Looked It in the Eye'

President Donald Trump has fought over the long haul against the deep state, both Republicans and Democrats, and now an unfair and not-free election might finally do him in, according to White House trade and manufacturing Director Peter Navarro on Sunday.

"If we can't run a fair election, then this Republic, it will not stand," Navarro told "The Cats Roundtable" on WABC 770 AM-N.Y., after releasing his 36-page report titled "The Immaculate Deception."

"If we get an illegitimate and illegal president in Joe Biden on inauguration day without him being cleared of being president by illegal votes," Navarro continued to host John Catsimatidis, "this country will make or break itself based on how this is handled. I do not have a high confidence in our institutions at this point that they are going to handle this well.

"This is a problem that needs to be investigated or this country is going to be in deep, deep trouble."

Navarro noted Trump as a political outsider has enemies in the deep state in both Republicans and Democrats in government who are career officials seeking to maintain their own power and authority.

"I've seen the deep state," Navarro said. "I've looked it in the eye. It's these bureaucrats who [were] around long before we were there and after we're gone. But it was also some of the people that we appointed that we shouldn't have appointed.

"The Rex Tillersons, the Jim Mattises, the John Boltons: The people who really never believed in Trump economic nationalism, the Fair trade, the secure borders, the emphasis on American manufacturing."
